Dance of Awareness

I am a licensed Dance of Awareness™ teacher and group facilitator. I trained under Clare Osbond and Tim Brown of the Devon School for Embodied Therapy.

Dance of Awareness is a therapeutic dance method based on psychodynamic theory and developmental psychology. It is a unique way of working with dance, movement and awareness through the lens of development of the self, particularly the first five years of life. There are no steps to learn or dance experience necessary... all are welcome.

It has five main streams of influence: Neo-Reichian body-centred psychotherapy; Five Rhythms dance; Authentic Movement; Dance Movement Psychotherapy; and the experiential exploration of Awareness itself. It is a group movement practice that aims to increase self-awareness and self-acceptance supporting wellbeing on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels.
